We should all have such problems! A broken hard drive in my world is like a drop-in visit from the judgmental PTA President. In Lauren Blakely’s world it leads to a flirty and fabulous hook up for Chris and McKenna that leads to a dating proposal that will make them partners on the radio that leads to much more. How is this fair to the rest of us? Once again, my favorite author has hit it out of the ballpark with another entertaining romantic adventure that’s witty, sexy and just plain perfect!

ARC received for an honest review. This book sucked you in and kept you wanting for more. McKenna and Chris were fast friends. Both came with baggage from previous relationships that made future relationships a little more difficult. McKenna had a few dates that turned out horribly. What I liked about these experiences with the dates is they were relatable, with situations that were fathomable. The love story that happens is natural between two people that you can believe would fall for each other. Lauren hits another book out of the park.

Fun Romantic Comedy!

4-4.5 Stars I had a complete déjà vu moment at the beginning of the book because the scene was so similar to another book I’ve read. It turns out The Dating Proposal is a re-imagining of the romance between Chris and McKenna, the two characters from Lauren Blakely’s book Trophy Husband. I was a little concerned when the first scene at the diner felt so familiar, but besides that scene and the characters themselves The Dating Proposal is a completely different book. I actually liked this story so much more than Trophy Husband, the characters were great in both but the story line for The Dating Proposal was so much more relatable! McKenna is a fashion blogger who was dumped a day before her wedding a year ago. While it had taken her some time to get over the betrayal and heartbreak, she is living her best life with a job she loves and a great group of friends. After a run in with her ex and his new wife she realizes that she is completely over him and the universe helped her out by having an attractive man ask her out on a date right afterwards. With her revelation, she decides to jump into the dating world full force and post about it on her blog. McKenna is a great lead female, she is sassy and feisty with a great support system of friends. With her attitude, cupcake addiction and love of all things 80’s I would be willing to overlook her fashion obsession and become best friends with her myself! Chris on the other hand is an absolutely perfect book boyfriend! He is a hot nerd who is successful, surfs, charismatic and a mister fix it… does it really get any better than that! Chris and McKenna have a chance meeting because a hateful cat breaks McKenna’s hard drive. The two instantly hit it off but fight the attraction because they both have some major trust issues. This is a purely fun romantic comedy with some steam thrown in! I love some angst and darkness in my romance, but everything now and then you just need something light and fun that makes you walk away feeling happy and The Dating Proposal is definitely that book!

This is such a cute, quick read with all the feels. I really enjoyed Chris & McKenna’s chemistry & banter. I didn’t read the Trophy Husband so I cannot compare the old & the new version, but I enjoyed this book & the characters (both human & animals).

Undeniable chemistry!

McKenna Bell, the Fashion Hound, is a smart, beautiful woman who has had her heart broken. She posts fashion blogs sharing her knowledge of what to wear and when it is appropriate. They come into this relationship as two very wary people leary of a committed relationship due to their pasts. As they develop a friendship and working relationship will they allow their hearts to heal and find a way to have forever together? Gotta read it to find out. You might recognize some characters from other books, YEA! McKenna’s sister is Julia Bell (as in Julia and Clay). Chris’ sister, Jill (as in Jull and Milo) appears a little bit. So fun to see old favorites again. As always, Lauren Blakely writes a fun escape into her world of HOT, handsome guys, strong beautiful women, and some very sexy times between the sheets. Loved it! This rom com is absolutely fabulous McKenna and Chris are the perfect couple and you feel their chemistry as they meet. Both have issues when dating but the spark between them is undeniable. Chris is a geek with a web tv show for geeks on gaming and he needs to increase his female demographic and McKenna has a fashion and info group and she needs to increase her male base. When Chris suggest she join him for segment on his show the chemistry gets even hotter when McKenna agrees. This is their story as two broken souls learn to love and trust. Once again Lauren’s characters will win your heart. Definitely a five star read. I’m so excited Lauren decided to give Chris and McKenna another go, with revising the Trophy Husband characters in a new exciting adventure. I was fortunate to receive an ARC copy for an honest review.

I received an ARC of this wonderful book in exchange for an honest review. The Dating Proposal was everything I hoped it would be and much more. Surfer geek, hot fashion blogger, music (oldies), Dr. Seuss, Q-Bert, Ms. Pacman, retro video games, holding a screwdriver for ransom, hardrives, orgasmic ketchup, first sip of Diet Coke, and karaoke. This book had it ALL!! McKenna and Chris were so much fun together. Meeting by chance, McKenna and Chris immediately hit it off forming a playful friendship. From that very first moment, they fell in into something natural that was much more than friendship. It was as if their souls immediately connected. Their conversations were honest, fun, and flirtatious. They found they had some things in common, such as their love for retro games and music. Unfortunately, another thing they had in common is that they both had trust issues. Both having had "bad luck" in past relationships and neither was looking to get involved in a serious relationship. I absolutely love McKenna. Despite having been left by her fiancé right before her wedding, McKenna had a positive outlook in life. She didn't dwell over the breakup. She picked herself back up, held her head up high, and move forward. This book was lighthearted with amazing relatable character making you wish Chris and McKenna were your BFF's. It is about taking a chance at love with someone who accepts and loves you for who you truly are. Chris and McKenna's relationship reminded me a little of the relationship between Finn and Kyler of Unzipped as both were relationships that began by a chance encounter, turned into friendship, which turned into love. Lauren Blakely is a a pre-order/one-click/must-own-in-all-formats author for me. SHE IS QUEEN OF ROM-COMS.

The Dating Proposal was a great and wonderful read, with a wonderful rapport and chemistry between McKenna and Chris. I enjoyed The Trophy Husband and this a great revision/update with both Chris and McKennas POV. I love a book that makes me smile and laugh and there was plenty of that. 5 stars for me and this will be added to my list of books to reread. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Fantastic!!

The Dating Proposal was fantastic !! If you’re a Lauren Blakely fan, then I’m sure you’ve probably read the Trophy Husband, which was amazing as it was, but fast forward to the revamped and renamed book, The Dating Proposal, is even better. We get both McKenna and Chris’ POV’s. This book will make you feel good! After being left at the altar, McKenna never expected she’d open herself up to love again. Her fashion blog is her outlet and she decides to pair her blog with dating to help get herself out there again. In comes Chris who turns out to be her perfect match. After fixing her hard drive, they realize how much they have in common. So much so that they end up working together. Their shared love of video games and orgasmic Katsup make them fall for each other. However, they both have trust issues that keep getting in the way. You’re going to love watching this relationship grow! Prepare yourself for lots of laughter, love and friendship!

I absolutely love this book! It is such a super cute, super sweet and super sexy story!! Chris & McKenna are just so stinkin’ adorable together!!! I love both of their characters so much! They have amazing chemistry and some of the sweetest and wittiest banter I've heard in a long time. I totally wanted to hang out with them! Lauren Blakely continues to be on top of her game with this delightful RomCom!! She just has this wonderful way of making you fall head over heels for her heroes and heroines while she tells such a great story. I am still smiling!!!!

A lovely entertaining story

The Dating Proposal was such as cute fun read. I’ve read Trophy Husband (the original Chris and McKenna story) and liked it. But their new reimagining of their romance was just fabulous. I loved how Lauren stayed true to their personalities. I enjoyed their banter and interactions-they were sweet, steamy, and entertaining. I also liked their little quirks. It made them so much more real. Chris and McKenna were awesome characters and seeing their relationship bloom was great. I enjoyed it tremendously. And seeing several worlds intertwine has got me on the knack for some re-reads :). Lauren is one of my favorite authors and this is a good reason why. Completely redoing a couple and their romance and making it original and lovely is a testament to a storyteller and writer. I really loved reading this story. The Dating Proposal is gold.

*** I received an advanced copy and chose to review it *** ** 100% spoiler-free review ** * 5 feel good stars * Lauren Blakely's newest offering, The Dating Proposal is a little bit sweet, a whole lot sexy, topped off with just the right amount of feel good to satisfy even the pickiest of readers. The story has all of the hallmarks I love in a Blakely book.....it's funny, flirty, sexy and has the perfect HEA befitting of the characters. In a word, I loved it! McKenna and Chris have an adorable meet-cute and their friendship blossoms from there. Both have their walls up due to past relationship disasters. They forge a friendship that is fun and flirty which continually ratches up the sexual tension. Blakely builds their story slowly and really gets the reader invested fully. There's plenty of romantic, swoon-worthy moments which are perfectly balanced with the laugh-out-loud moments. The characters have a ton of chemistry and they truly are adorable together! If you've read Blakely's other books, you'll recognize plenty of familiar faces. In fact, because it's a revamp of her previously published Trophy Husband, it takes place prior to some of her other books but don't worry, there are zero spoilers in this book. To sum it up, The Dating Proposal is charming and fun and was a true delight to read. Low on angst, it's the perfect feel-good story so do yourself a favor and grab it today! 5 stars

Fun Book

I’m a big Lauren Blakely fan, so I was anxiously awaiting her next book. Turns out it’s a re-imaging of an old book called Trophy Husband that’s no longer sold. I don’t remember a lot about that book, but I do remember loving the main characters, McKenna and Chris. Their new & improved story is awesome. McKenna is a fashion blogger ready to dip her toes in the dating pool & have some fun a year after being dumped the day before her wedding. Chris is a hot, geeky guy with his own gaming tv show, once burned & wary after dating his show’s producer. Instant Chemistry when these two meet and decide to expand their audiences by doing a dating segment on Chris’s show. His viewers fall for McKenna and so does he. If you like witty dialogue, hot sex, video games, fashion tips, best friend dogs & possessed cats, and smart friends encouraging these two to take the leap of faith for a chance at forever love, then I think you will love this book. Did I mention the hot sex?? Great job, Lauren!

I can always count on Lauren Blakely to deliver when it comes to romcoms! The Dating Proposal is a fun, low angst, and slightly taboo work place romance. Chris and McKenna are the perfect amount of nerdy and sweet together and they have such incredible chemistry. Their attraction to the other is instant and their easy going banter and playful innuendo set the stage for a delicious slow burn build up. I loved seeing these two toe the line between friendship/co-workers and more. I think the most refreshing thing about the book though is that these are mature adults who talk openly and honestly (for the most part) with each other. There might be a misstep or two, but they don't let it fester or explode into a huge deal. I really enjoyed the pop culture references (I will never look at Q*bert the same again!) and had a smile on my face almost the entire time reading this. Fans of Lauren Blakely are sure to love it too! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

The story has all of the hallmarks I love in a Blakely book.....it's funny, flirty, sexy and has the perfect HEA befitting of the characters. In a word, I loved it! McKenna and Chris have an adorable meet-cute and their friendship blossoms from there. Both have their walls up due to past relationship disasters. They forge a friendship that is fun and flirty which continually ratches up the sexual tension. Blakely builds their story slowly and really gets the reader invested fully. There's plenty of romantic, swoon-worthy moments which are perfectly balanced with the laugh-out-loud moments. The characters have a ton of chemistry and they truly are adorable together! If you've read Blakely's other books, you'll recognize plenty of familiar faces. In fact, because it's a revamp of her previously published Trophy Husband, it takes place prior to some of her other books but don't worry, there are zero spoilers in this book. To sum it up, The Dating Proposal is charming and fun and was a true delight to read. Low on angst, it's the perfect feel-good story so do yourself a favor and grab it today! 5 stars

I’m a big Lauren Blakely fan, so I was anxiously awaiting her next book. Turns out it’s a re-imaging of an old book called Trophy Husband that’s no longer sold. I don’t remember a lot about that book, but I do remember loving the main characters, McKenna and Chris. Their new & improved story is awesome. McKenna is a fashion blogger ready to dip her toes in the dating pool & have some fun a year after being dumped the day before her wedding. Chris is a hot, geeky guy with his own gaming tv show, once burned & wary after dating his show’s producer. Instant Chemistry when these two meet and decide to expand their audiences by doing a dating segment on Chris’s show. His viewers fall for McKenna and so does he. If you like witty dialogue, hot sex, video games, fashion tips, best friend dogs & possessed cats, and smart friends encouraging these two to take the leap of faith for a chance at forever love, then I think you will love this book. Did I mention the hot sex?? Great job, Lauren!

I can always count on Lauren Blakely to deliver when it comes to romcoms! The Dating Proposal is a fun, low angst, and slightly taboo work place romance. Chris and McKenna are the perfect amount of nerdy and sweet together and they have such incredible chemistry. Their attraction to the other is instant and their easy going banter and playful innuendo set the stage for a delicious slow burn build up. I loved seeing these two toe the line between friendship/co-workers and more. I think the most refreshing thing about the book though is that these are mature adults who talk openly and honestly (for the most part) with each other. There might be a misstep or two, but they don't let it fester or explode into a huge deal. I really enjoyed the pop culture references (I will never look at Q*bert the same again!) and had a smile on my face almost the entire time reading this. Both came with baggage from previous relationships that made future relationships a little more difficult. McKenna had a few dates that turned out horribly. What I liked about these experiences with the dates is they were relatable, with situations that were fathomable. The love story that happens is natural between two people that you can believe would fall for each other. Lauren hits another book out of the park.

4-4.5 Stars I had a complete déjà vu moment at the beginning of the book because the scene was so similar to another book I’ve read. It turns out The Dating Proposal is a re-imagining of the romance between Chris and McKenna, the two characters from Lauren Blakely’s book Trophy Husband. I was a little concerned when the first scene at the diner felt so familiar, but besides that scene and the characters themselves The Dating Proposal is a completely different book. I actually liked this story so much more than Trophy Husband, the characters were great in both but the story line for The Dating Proposal was so much more relatable! McKenna is a fashion blogger who was dumped a day before her wedding a year ago. While it had taken her some time to get over the betrayal and heartbreak, she is living her best life with a job she loves and a great group of friends. After a run in with her ex and his new wife she realizes that she is completely over him and the universe helped her out by having an attractive man ask her out on a date right afterwards. With her revelation, she decides to jump into the dating world full force and post about it on her blog. McKenna is a great lead female, she is sassy and feisty with a great support system of friends. With her attitude, cupcake addiction and love of all things 80’s I would be willing to overlook her fashion obsession and become best friends with her myself! Chris on the other hand is an absolutely perfect book boyfriend! He is a hot nerd who is successful, surfs, charismatic and a mister fix it… does it really get any better than that! Chris and McKenna have a chance meeting because a hateful cat breaks McKenna’s hard drive. The two instantly hit it off but fight the attraction because they both have some major trust issues. This is a purely fun romantic comedy with some steam thrown in! I love some angst and darkness in my romance, but everything now and then you just need something light and fun that makes you walk away feeling happy and The Dating Proposal is definitely that book!

This is such a cute, quick read with all the feels. I really enjoyed Chris & McKenna’s chemistry & banter. I didn’t read the Trophy Husband so I cannot compare the old & the new version, but I enjoyed this book & the characters (both human & animals).

This rom com is absolutely fabulous McKenna and Chris are the perfect couple and you feel their chemistry as they meet. Both have issues when dating but the spark between them is undeniable. Chris is a geek with a web tv show for geeks on gaming and he needs to increase his female demographic and McKenna has a fashion and info group and she needs to increase her male base. When Chris suggest she join him for segment on his show the chemistry gets even hotter when McKenna agrees. This is their story as two broken souls learn to love and trust. Once again Lauren’s characters will win your heart. Definitely a five star read. I’m so excited Lauren decided to give Chris and McKenna another go, with revising the Trophy Husband characters in a new exciting adventure. I received an ARC of this wonderful book in exchange for an honest review. The Dating Proposal was everything I hoped it would be and much more. Surfer geek, hot fashion blogger, music (oldies), Dr. Seuss, Q-Bert, Ms. Pacman, retro video games, holding a screwdriver for ransom, hardrives, orgasmic ketchup, first sip of Diet Coke, and karaoke. This book had it ALL!! McKenna and Chris were so much fun together. Meeting by chance, McKenna and Chris immediately hit it off forming a playful friendship. From that very first moment, they fell in into something natural that was much more than friendship. It was as if their souls immediately connected. Their conversations were honest, fun, and flirtatious. They found they had some things in common, such as their love for retro games and music. Unfortunately, another thing they had in common is that they both had trust issues. Both having had "bad luck" in past relationships and neither was looking to get involved in a serious relationship. I absolutely love McKenna. Despite having been left by her fiancé right before her wedding, McKenna had a positive outlook in life. She didn't dwell over the breakup. She picked herself back up, held her head up high, and move forward. This book was lighthearted with amazing relatable character making you wish Chris and McKenna were your BFF's. It is about taking a chance at love with someone who accepts and loves you for who you truly are. Chris and McKenna's relationship reminded me a little of the relationship between Finn and Kyler of Unzipped as both were relationships that began by a chance encounter, turned into friendship, which turned into love. Lauren Blakely is a a pre-order/one-click/must-own-in-all-formats author for me. SHE IS QUEEN OF ROM-COMS.

I enjoyed The Trophy Husband and this a great revision/update with both Chris and McKennas POV. Fantastic!!

The Dating Proposal was fantastic !! If you’re a Lauren Blakely fan, then I’m sure you’ve probably read the Trophy Husband, which was amazing as it was, but fast forward to the revamped and renamed book, The Dating Proposal, is even better. We get both McKenna and Chris’ POV’s. This book will make you feel good! After being left at the altar, McKenna never expected she’d open herself up to love again. Her fashion blog is her outlet and she decides to pair her blog with dating to help get herself out there again. In comes Chris who turns out to be her perfect match. After fixing her hard drive, they realize how much they have in common. So much so that they end up working together. Their shared love of video games and orgasmic Katsup make them fall for each other. However, they both have trust issues that keep getting in the way. You’re going to love watching this relationship grow! Prepare yourself for lots of laughter, love and friendship!

I absolutely love this book! It is such a super cute, super sweet and super sexy story!! Chris & McKenna are just so stinkin’ adorable together!!! I love both of their characters so much! They have amazing chemistry and some of the sweetest and wittiest banter I've heard in a long time. I totally wanted to hang out with them! Lauren Blakely continues to be on top of her game with this delightful RomCom!! A lovely entertaining story

The Dating Proposal was such as cute fun read. I’ve read Trophy Husband (the original Chris and McKenna story) and liked it. But their new reimagining of their romance was just fabulous. I loved how Lauren stayed true to their personalities. I enjoyed their banter and interactions-they were sweet, steamy, and entertaining. I also liked their little quirks. It made them so much more real. Chris and McKenna were awesome characters and seeing their relationship bloom was great. I enjoyed it tremendously. And seeing several worlds intertwine has got me on the knack for some re-reads :). Lauren is one of my favorite authors and this is a good reason why. Completely redoing a couple and their romance and making it original and lovely is a testament to a storyteller and writer. I really loved reading this story. The Dating Proposal is gold.

I enjoyed The Trophy Husband and this a great revision/update with both Chris and McKennas POV. I love a book that makes me smile and laugh and there was plenty of that. 5 stars for me and this will be added to my list of books to reread. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Fantastic!!

The Dating Proposal was fantastic !! If you’re a Lauren Blakely fan, then I’m sure you’ve probably read the Trophy Husband, which was amazing as it was, but fast forward to the revamped and renamed book, The Dating Proposal, is even better. We get both McKenna and Chris’ POV’s. This book will make you feel good! After being left at the altar, McKenna never expected she’d open herself up to love again. Her fashion blog is her outlet and she decides to pair her blog with dating to help get herself out there again. In comes Chris who turns out to be her perfect match. After fixing her hard drive, they realize how much they have in common. So much so that they end up working together. Their shared love of video games and orgasmic Katsup make them fall for each other. However, they both have trust issues that keep getting in the way. You’re going to love watching this relationship grow! Prepare yourself for lots of laughter, love and friendship!

I absolutely love this book! It is such a super cute, super sweet and super sexy story!! Chris & McKenna are just so stinkin’ adorable together!!! I love both of their characters so much! They have amazing chemistry and some of the sweetest and wittiest banter I've heard in a long time. I totally wanted to hang out with them! Lauren Blakely continues to be on top of her game with this delightful RomCom!! She just has this wonderful way of making you fall head over heels for her heroes and heroines while she tells such a great story. I am still smiling!!!!

A lovely entertaining story

The Dating Proposal was such as cute fun read. I’ve read Trophy Husband (the original Chris and McKenna story) and liked it. But their new reimagining of their romance was just fabulous. I loved how Lauren stayed true to their personalities. I enjoyed their banter and interactions-they were sweet, steamy, and entertaining. I also liked their little quirks. It made them so much more real. Chris and McKenna were awesome characters and seeing their relationship bloom was great. I enjoyed it tremendously. And seeing several worlds intertwine has got me on the knack for some re-reads :). Lauren is one of my favorite authors and this is a good reason why. Completely redoing a couple and their romance and making it original and lovely is a testament to a storyteller and writer. I really loved reading this story. The Dating Proposal is gold.

*** I received an advanced copy and chose to review it *** ** 100% spoiler-free review ** * 5 feel good stars * Lauren Blakely's newest offering, The Dating Proposal is a little bit sweet, a whole lot sexy, topped off with just the right amount of feel good to satisfy even the pickiest of readers. The story has all of the hallmarks I love in a Blakely book.....it's funny, flirty, sexy and has the perfect HEA befitting of the characters. In a word, I loved it! McKenna and Chris have an adorable meet-cute and their friendship blossoms from there. Both have their walls up due to past relationship disasters. They forge a friendship that is fun and flirty which continually ratches up the sexual tension. Blakely builds their story slowly and really gets the reader invested fully. There's plenty of romantic, swoon-worthy moments which are perfectly balanced with the laugh-out-loud moments. The characters have a ton of chemistry and they truly are adorable together! If you've read Blakely's other books, you'll recognize plenty of familiar faces. In fact, because it's a revamp of her previously published Trophy Husband, it takes place prior to some of her other books but don't worry, there are zero spoilers in this book. To sum it up, The Dating Proposal is charming and fun and was a true delight to read. Low on angst, it's the perfect feel-good story so do yourself a favor and grab it today! 5 stars

I’m a big Lauren Blakely fan, so I was anxiously awaiting her next book. Turns out it’s a re-imaging of an old book called Trophy Husband that’s no longer sold. I don’t remember a lot about that book, but I do remember loving the main characters, McKenna and Chris. Their new & improved story is awesome. McKenna is a fashion blogger ready to dip her toes in the dating pool & have some fun a year after being dumped the day before her wedding. Chris is a hot, geeky guy with his own gaming tv show, once burned & wary after dating his show’s producer. Instant Chemistry when these two meet and decide to expand their audiences by doing a dating segment on Chris’s show. His viewers fall for McKenna and so does he. If you like witty dialogue, hot sex, video games, fashion tips, best friend dogs & possessed cats, and smart friends encouraging these two to take the leap of faith for a chance at forever love, then I think you will love this book. Did I mention the hot sex?? Great job, Lauren!

I can always count on Lauren Blakely to deliver when it comes to romcoms! The Dating Proposal is a fun, low angst, and slightly taboo work place romance. Chris and McKenna are the perfect amount of nerdy and sweet together and they have such incredible chemistry. Their attraction to the other is instant and their easy going banter and playful innuendo set the stage for a delicious slow burn build up. I loved seeing these two toe the line between friendship/co-workers and more. I think the most refreshing thing about the book though is that these are mature adults who talk openly and honestly (for the most part) with each other. There might be a misstep or two, but they don't let it fester or explode into a huge deal. I really enjoyed the pop culture references (I will never look at Q*bert the same again!) and had a smile on my face almost the entire time reading this. Fans of Lauren Blakely are sure to love it too! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

We should all have such problems! A broken hard drive in my world is like a drop-in visit from the judgmental PTA President. In Lauren Blakely’s world it leads to a flirty and fabulous hook up for Chris and McKenna that leads to a dating proposal that will make them partners on the radio that leads to much more. ARC received for an honest review. This book sucked you in and kept you wanting for more. McKenna and Chris were fast friends. Both came with baggage from previous relationships that made future relationships a little more difficult. McKenna had a few dates that turned out horribly. What I liked about these experiences with the dates is they were relatable, with situations that were fathomable. The love story that happens is natural between two people that you can believe would fall for each other. Lauren hits another book out of the park.

4-4.5 Stars I had a complete déjà vu moment at the beginning of the book because the scene was so similar to another book I’ve read. It turns out The Dating Proposal is a re-imagining of the romance between Chris and McKenna, the two characters from Lauren Blakely’s book Trophy Husband. I was a little concerned when the first scene at the diner felt so familiar, but besides that scene and the characters themselves The Dating Proposal is a completely different book. I actually liked this story so much more than Trophy Husband, the characters were great in both but the story line for The Dating Proposal was so much more relatable! McKenna is a fashion blogger who was dumped a day before her wedding a year ago. While it had taken her some time to get over the betrayal and heartbreak, she is living her best life with a job she loves and a great group of friends. After a run in with her ex and his new wife she realizes that she is completely over him and the universe helped her out by having an attractive man ask her out on a date right afterwards. With her revelation, she decides to jump into the dating world full force and post about it on her blog. McKenna is a great lead female, she is sassy and feisty with a great support system of friends. With her attitude, cupcake addiction and love of all things 80’s I would be willing to overlook her fashion obsession and become best friends with her myself! Chris on the other hand is an absolutely perfect book boyfriend! He is a hot nerd who is successful, surfs, charismatic and a mister fix it… does it really get any better than that! Chris and McKenna have a chance meeting because a hateful cat breaks McKenna’s hard drive. The two instantly hit it off but fight the attraction because they both have some major trust issues. This is a purely fun romantic comedy with some steam thrown in! I love some angst and darkness in my romance, but everything now and then you just need something light and fun that makes you walk away feeling happy and The Dating Proposal is definitely that book!

This is such a cute, quick read with all the feels. I really enjoyed Chris & McKenna’s chemistry & banter. I didn’t read the Trophy Husband so I cannot compare the old & the new version, but I enjoyed this book & the characters (both human & animals).

You might recognize some characters from other books, YEA! McKenna’s sister is Julia Bell (as in Julia and Clay). Chris’ sister, Jill (as in Jull and Milo) appears a little bit. So fun to see old favorites again. As always, Lauren Blakely writes a fun escape into her world of HOT, handsome guys, strong beautiful women, and some very sexy times between the sheets. Loved it! This rom com is absolutely fabulous McKenna and Chris are the perfect couple and you feel their chemistry as they meet. Both have issues when dating but the spark between them is undeniable. Chris is a geek with a web tv show for geeks on gaming and he needs to increase his female demographic and McKenna has a fashion and info group and she needs to increase her male base. When Chris suggest she join him for segment on his show the chemistry gets even hotter when McKenna agrees. This is their story as two broken souls learn to love and trust. Once again Lauren’s characters will win your heart. Definitely a five star read. I’m so excited Lauren decided to give Chris and McKenna another go, with revising the Trophy Husband characters in a new exciting adventure. I was fortunate to receive an ARC copy for an honest review.

I received an ARC of this wonderful book in exchange for an honest review. The Dating Proposal was everything I hoped it would be and much more. Surfer geek, hot fashion blogger, music (oldies), Dr. Seuss, Q-Bert, Ms. Pacman, retro video games, holding a screwdriver for ransom, hardrives, orgasmic ketchup, first sip of Diet Coke, and karaoke. This book had it ALL!! McKenna and Chris were so much fun together. Meeting by chance, McKenna and Chris immediately hit it off forming a playful friendship. From that very first moment, they fell in into something natural that was much more than friendship. It was as if their souls immediately connected. Their conversations were honest, fun, and flirtatious. They found they had some things in common, such as their love for retro games and music. Unfortunately, another thing they had in common is that they both had trust issues. Both having had "bad luck" in past relationships and neither was looking to get involved in a serious relationship. I absolutely love McKenna. Despite having been left by her fiancé right before her wedding, McKenna had a positive outlook in life. She didn't dwell over the breakup. She picked herself back up, held her head up high, and move forward. This book was lighthearted with amazing relatable character making you wish Chris and McKenna were your BFF's. It is about taking a chance at love with someone who accepts and loves you for who you truly are. Chris and McKenna's relationship reminded me a little of the relationship between Finn and Kyler of Unzipped as both were relationships that began by a chance encounter, turned into friendship, which turned into love. Lauren Blakely is a a pre-order/one-click/must-own-in-all-formats author for me. SHE IS QUEEN OF ROM-COMS.

This rom com is absolutely fabulous McKenna and Chris are the perfect couple and you feel their chemistry as they meet. Both have issues when dating but the spark between them is undeniable. Chris is a geek with a web tv show for geeks on gaming and he needs to increase his female demographic and McKenna has a fashion and info group and she needs to increase her male base. When Chris suggest she join him for segment on his show the chemistry gets even hotter when McKenna agrees. This is their story as two broken souls learn to love and trust. Once again Lauren’s characters will win your heart. Definitely a five star read. I’m so excited Lauren decided to give Chris and McKenna another go, with revising the Trophy Husband characters in a new exciting adventure. I received an ARC of this wonderful book in exchange for an honest review. The Dating Proposal was everything I hoped it would be and much more. Surfer geek, hot fashion blogger, music (oldies), Dr. Seuss, Q-Bert, Ms. Pacman, retro video games, holding a screwdriver for ransom, hardrives, orgasmic ketchup, first sip of Diet Coke, and karaoke. This book had it ALL!! McKenna and Chris were so much fun together. Meeting by chance, McKenna and Chris immediately hit it off forming a playful friendship. From that very first moment, they fell in into something natural that was much more than friendship. It was as if their souls immediately connected. Their conversations were honest, fun, and flirtatious. They found they had some things in common, such as their love for retro games and music. Unfortunately, another thing they had in common is that they both had trust issues. Both having had "bad luck" in past relationships and neither was looking to get involved in a serious relationship. I absolutely love McKenna. Despite having been left by her fiancé right before her wedding, McKenna had a positive outlook in life. She didn't dwell over the breakup. She picked herself back up, held her head up high, and move forward. This book was lighthearted with amazing relatable character making you wish Chris and McKenna were your BFF's. It is about taking a chance at love with someone who accepts and loves you for who you truly are. Chris and McKenna's relationship reminded me a little of the relationship between Finn and Kyler of Unzipped as both were relationships that began by a chance encounter, turned into friendship, which turned into love. Lauren Blakely is a a pre-order/one-click/must-own-in-all-formats author for me. SHE IS QUEEN OF ROM-COMS.

The Dating Proposal was a great and wonderful read, with a wonderful rapport and chemistry between McKenna and Chris. I enjoyed The Trophy Husband and this a great revision/update with both Chris and McKennas POV. I love a book that makes me smile and laugh and there was plenty of that. 5 stars for me and this will be added to my list of books to reread. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Fantastic!!

The Dating Proposal was fantastic !! If you’re a Lauren Blakely fan, then I’m sure you’ve probably read the Trophy Husband, which was amazing as it was, but fast forward to the revamped and renamed book, The Dating Proposal, is even better. We get both McKenna and Chris’ POV’s. This book will make you feel good! After being left at the altar, McKenna never expected she’d open herself up to love again. Her fashion blog is her outlet and she decides to pair her blog with dating to help get herself out there again. In comes Chris who turns out to be her perfect match. After fixing her hard drive, they realize how much they have in common. So much so that they end up working together. Their shared love of video games and orgasmic Katsup make them fall for each other. However, they both have trust issues that keep getting in the way. You’re going to love watching this relationship grow! Prepare yourself for lots of laughter, love and friendship!

I absolutely love this book! It is such a super cute, super sweet and super sexy story!! Chris & McKenna are just so stinkin’ adorable together!!! I love both of their characters so much! They have amazing chemistry and some of the sweetest and wittiest banter I've heard in a long time. I totally wanted to hang out with them! Lauren Blakely continues to be on top of her game with this delightful RomCom!! She just has this wonderful way of making you fall head over heels for her heroes and heroines while she tells such a great story. I am still smiling!!!!

A lovely entertaining story

The Dating Proposal was such as cute fun read. I’ve read Trophy Husband (the original Chris and McKenna story) and liked it. But their new reimagining of their romance was just fabulous. I loved how Lauren stayed true to their personalities. I enjoyed their banter and interactions-they were sweet, steamy, and entertaining. I also liked their little quirks. It made them so much more real. Chris and McKenna were awesome characters and seeing their relationship bloom was great. I enjoyed it tremendously. And seeing several worlds intertwine has got me on the knack for some re-reads :). Lauren is one of my favorite authors and this is a good reason why. Completely redoing a couple and their romance and making it original and lovely is a testament to a storyteller and writer. I really loved reading this story. The Dating Proposal is gold.

*** I received an advanced copy and chose to review it *** ** 100% spoiler-free review ** * 5 feel good stars * Lauren Blakely's newest offering, The Dating Proposal is a little bit sweet, a whole lot sexy, topped off with just the right amount of feel good to satisfy even the pickiest of readers. The story has all of the hallmarks I love in a Blakely book.....it's funny, flirty, sexy and has the perfect HEA befitting of the characters. In a word, I loved it! McKenna and Chris have an adorable meet-cute and their friendship blossoms from there. Both have their walls up due to past relationship disasters. They forge a friendship that is fun and flirty which continually ratches up the sexual tension. Blakely builds their story slowly and really gets the reader invested fully. There's plenty of romantic, swoon-worthy moments which are perfectly balanced with the laugh-out-loud moments. The characters have a ton of chemistry and they truly are adorable together! If you've read Blakely's other books, you'll recognize plenty of familiar faces. In fact, because it's a revamp of her previously published Trophy Husband, it takes place prior to some of her other books but don't worry, there are zero spoilers in this book. To sum it up, The Dating Proposal is charming and fun and was a true delight to read. Low on angst, it's the perfect feel-good story so do yourself a favor and grab it today! 5 stars

I’m a big Lauren Blakely fan, so I was anxiously awaiting her next book. Turns out it’s a re-imaging of an old book called Trophy Husband that’s no longer sold. I don’t remember a lot about that book, but I do remember loving the main characters, McKenna and Chris. Their new & improved story is awesome. McKenna is a fashion blogger ready to dip her toes in the dating pool & have some fun a year after being dumped the day before her wedding. Chris is a hot, geeky guy with his own gaming tv show, once burned & wary after dating his show’s producer. Instant Chemistry when these two meet and decide to expand their audiences by doing a dating segment on Chris’s show. His viewers fall for McKenna and so does he. If you like witty dialogue, hot sex, video games, fashion tips, best friend dogs & possessed cats, and smart friends encouraging these two to take the leap of faith for a chance at forever love, then I think you will love this book. Did I mention the hot sex?? Great job, Lauren!

I can always count on Lauren Blakely to deliver when it comes to romcoms! The Dating Proposal is a fun, low angst, and slightly taboo work place romance. Chris and McKenna are the perfect amount of nerdy and sweet together and they have such incredible chemistry. Their attraction to the other is instant and their easy going banter and playful innuendo set the stage for a delicious slow burn build up. I loved seeing these two toe the line between friendship/co-workers and more. I think the most refreshing thing about the book though is that these are mature adults who talk openly and honestly (for the most part) with each other. There might be a misstep or two, but they don't let it fester or explode into a huge deal. I really enjoyed the pop culture references (I will never look at Q*bert the same again!) and had a smile on my face almost the entire time reading this. Both came with baggage from previous relationships that made future relationships a little more difficult. McKenna had a few dates that turned out horribly. What I liked about these experiences with the dates is they were relatable, with situations that were fathomable. The love story that happens is natural between two people that you can believe would fall for each other. Lauren hits another book out of the park.

4-4.5 Stars I had a complete déjà vu moment at the beginning of the book because the scene was so similar to another book I’ve read. It turns out The Dating Proposal is a re-imagining of the romance between Chris and McKenna, the two characters from Lauren Blakely’s book Trophy Husband. I was a little concerned when the first scene at the diner felt so familiar, but besides that scene and the characters themselves The Dating Proposal is a completely different book. I actually liked this story so much more than Trophy Husband, the characters were great in both but the story line for The Dating Proposal was so much more relatable! McKenna is a fashion blogger who was dumped a day before her wedding a year ago. While it had taken her some time to get over the betrayal and heartbreak, she is living her best life with a job she loves and a great group of friends. After a run in with her ex and his new wife she realizes that she is completely over him and the universe helped her out by having an attractive man ask her out on a date right afterwards. With her revelation, she decides to jump into the dating world full force and post about it on her blog. McKenna is a great lead female, she is sassy and feisty with a great support system of friends. With her attitude, cupcake addiction and love of all things 80’s I would be willing to overlook her fashion obsession and become best friends with her myself! Chris on the other hand is an absolutely perfect book boyfriend! He is a hot nerd who is successful, surfs, charismatic and a mister fix it… does it really get any better than that! Chris and McKenna have a chance meeting because a hateful cat breaks McKenna’s hard drive. The two instantly hit it off but fight the attraction because they both have some major trust issues. This is a purely fun romantic comedy with some steam thrown in! I love some angst and darkness in my romance, but everything now and then you just need something light and fun that makes you walk away feeling happy and The Dating Proposal is definitely that book!

This is such a cute, quick read with all the feels. I really enjoyed Chris & McKenna’s chemistry & banter. I didn’t read the Trophy Husband so I cannot compare the old & the new version, but I enjoyed this book & the characters (both human & animals).

Chris on the other hand is an absolutely perfect book boyfriend! He is a hot nerd who is successful, surfs, charismatic and a mister fix it… does it really get any better than that! Chris and McKenna have a chance meeting because a hateful cat breaks McKenna’s hard drive. The two instantly hit it off but fight the attraction because they both have some major trust issues. This is a purely fun romantic comedy with some steam thrown in! I love some angst and darkness in my romance, but everything now and then you just need something light and fun that makes you walk away feeling happy and The Dating Proposal is definitely that book!

This is such a cute, quick read with all the feels. I really enjoyed Chris & McKenna’s chemistry & banter. I didn’t read the Trophy Husband so I cannot compare the old & the new version, but I enjoyed this book & the characters (both human & animals).

You might recognize some characters from other books, YEA! McKenna’s sister is Julia Bell (as in Julia and Clay). Chris’ sister, Jill (as in Jull and Milo) appears a little bit. So fun to see old favorites again. As always, Lauren Blakely writes a fun escape into her world of HOT, handsome guys, strong beautiful women, and some very sexy times between the sheets. Loved it! This rom com is absolutely fabulous McKenna and Chris are the perfect couple and you feel their chemistry as they meet. Both have issues when dating but the spark between them is undeniable. Chris is a geek with a web tv show for geeks on gaming and he needs to increase his female demographic and McKenna has a fashion and info group and she needs to increase her male base. When Chris suggest she join him for segment on his show the chemistry gets even hotter when McKenna agrees. This is their story as two broken souls learn to love and trust. Once again Lauren’s characters will win your heart. Definitely a five star read. I’m so excited Lauren decided to give Chris and McKenna another go, with revising the Trophy Husband characters in a new exciting adventure. I was fortunate to receive an ARC copy for an honest review.

I received an ARC of this wonderful book in exchange for an honest review. The Dating Proposal was everything I hoped it would be and much more. Surfer geek, hot fashion blogger, music (oldies), Dr. Seuss, Q-Bert, Ms. Pacman, retro video games, holding a screwdriver for ransom, hardrives, orgasmic ketchup, first sip of Diet Coke, and karaoke. This book had it ALL!! McKenna and Chris were so much fun together. Meeting by chance, McKenna and Chris immediately hit it off forming a playful friendship. From that very first moment, they fell in into something natural that was much more than friendship. It was as if their souls immediately connected. Their conversations were honest, fun, and flirtatious. They found they had some things in common, such as their love for retro games and music. Unfortunately, another thing they had in common is that they both had trust issues. Both having had "bad luck" in past relationships and neither was looking to get involved in a serious relationship. I absolutely love McKenna. Despite having been left by her fiancé right before her wedding, McKenna had a positive outlook in life. She didn't dwell over the breakup. She picked herself back up, held her head up high, and move forward. This book was lighthearted with amazing relatable character making you wish Chris and McKenna were your BFF's. It is about taking a chance at love with someone who accepts and loves you for who you truly are. Chris and McKenna's relationship reminded me a little of the relationship between Finn and Kyler of Unzipped as both were relationships that began by a chance encounter, turned into friendship, which turned into love. Lauren Blakely is a a pre-order/one-click/must-own-in-all-formats author for me. SHE IS QUEEN OF ROM-COMS.

The Dating Proposal was a great and wonderful read, with a wonderful rapport and chemistry between McKenna and Chris. I enjoyed The Trophy Husband and this a great revision/update with both Chris and McKennas POV. I love a book that makes me smile and laugh and there was plenty of that. 5 stars for me and this will be added to my list of books to reread. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The Dating Proposal was fantastic !! If you’re a Lauren Blakely fan, then I’m sure you’ve probably read the Trophy Husband, which was amazing as it was, but fast forward to the revamped and renamed book, The Dating Proposal, is even better. We get both McKenna and Chris’ POV’s. This book will make you feel good! After being left at the altar, McKenna never expected she’d open herself up to love again. Her fashion blog is her outlet and she decides to pair her blog with dating to help get herself out there again. In comes Chris who turns out to be her perfect match. After fixing her hard drive, they realize how much they have in common. So much so that they end up working together. Their shared love of video games and orgasmic Katsup make them fall for each other. However, they both have trust issues that keep getting in the way. You’re going to love watching this relationship grow! Prepare yourself for lots of laughter, love and friendship!

I absolutely love this book! It is such a super cute, super sweet and super sexy story!! Chris & McKenna are just so stinkin’ adorable together!!! I love both of their characters so much! They have amazing chemistry and some of the sweetest and wittiest banter I've heard in a long time. I totally wanted to hang out with them! Lauren Blakely continues to be on top of her game with this delightful RomCom!! She just has this wonderful way of making you fall head over heels for her heroes and heroines while she tells such a great story. I am still smiling!!!!

A lovely entertaining story

The Dating Proposal was such as cute fun read. I’ve read Trophy Husband (the original Chris and McKenna story) and liked it. But their new reimagining of their romance was just fabulous. I loved how Lauren stayed true to their personalities. I enjoyed their banter and interactions-they were sweet, steamy, and entertaining. I also liked their little quirks. It made them so much more real. Chris and McKenna were awesome characters and seeing their relationship bloom was great. I enjoyed it tremendously. And seeing several worlds intertwine has got me on the knack for some re-reads :). Lauren is one of my favorite authors and this is a good reason why. Completely redoing a couple and their romance and making it original and lovely is a testament to a storyteller and writer. I really loved reading this story. The Dating Proposal is gold.

The story has all of the hallmarks I love in a Blakely book.....it's funny, flirty, sexy and has the perfect HEA befitting of the characters. In a word, I loved it! McKenna and Chris have an adorable meet-cute and their friendship blossoms from there. Both have their walls up due to past relationship disasters. They forge a friendship that is fun and flirty which continually ratches up the sexual tension. Blakely builds their story slowly and really gets the reader invested fully. There's plenty of romantic, swoon-worthy moments which are perfectly balanced with the laugh-out-loud moments. The characters have a ton of chemistry and they truly are adorable together! If you've read Blakely's other books, you'll recognize plenty of familiar faces. In fact, because it's a revamp of her previously published Trophy Husband, it takes place prior to some of her other books but don't worry, there are zero spoilers in this book. To sum it up, The Dating Proposal is charming and fun and was a true delight to read. Low on angst, it's the perfect feel-good story so do yourself a favor and grab it today! 5 stars

I’m a big Lauren Blakely fan, so I was anxiously awaiting her next book. Turns out it’s a re-imaging of an old book called Trophy Husband that’s no longer sold. I don’t remember a lot about that book, but I do remember loving the main characters, McKenna and Chris. Their new & improved story is awesome. McKenna is a fashion blogger ready to dip her toes in the dating pool & have some fun a year after being dumped the day before her wedding. Chris is a hot, geeky guy with his own gaming tv show, once burned & wary after dating his show’s producer. Instant Chemistry when these two meet and decide to expand their audiences by doing a dating segment on Chris’s show. His viewers fall for McKenna and so does he. If you like witty dialogue, hot sex, video games, fashion tips, best friend dogs & possessed cats, and smart friends encouraging these two to take the leap of faith for a chance at forever love, then I think you will love this book. Did I mention the hot sex?? Great job, Lauren!

I can always count on Lauren Blakely to deliver when it comes to romcoms! The Dating Proposal is a fun, low angst, and slightly taboo work place romance. Chris and McKenna are the perfect amount of nerdy and sweet together and they have such incredible chemistry. Their attraction to the other is instant and their easy going banter and playful innuendo set the stage for a delicious slow burn build up. I loved seeing these two toe the line between friendship/co-workers and more. I think the most refreshing thing about the book though is that these are mature adults who talk openly and honestly (for the most part) with each other. There might be a misstep or two, but they don't let it fester or explode into a huge deal. I really enjoyed the pop culture references (I will never look at Q*bert the same again!) and had a smile on my face almost the entire time reading this. Fabulous!

We should all have such problems! A broken hard drive in my world is like a drop-in visit from the judgmental PTA President. In Lauren Blakely’s world it leads to a flirty and fabulous hook up for Chris and McKenna that leads to a dating proposal that will make them partners on the radio that leads to much more. How is this fair to the rest of us? Once again, my favorite author has hit it out of the ballpark with another entertaining romantic adventure that’s witty, sexy and just plain perfect!

ARC received for an honest review. This book sucked you in and kept you wanting for more. McKenna and Chris were fast friends. Both came with baggage from previous relationships that made future relationships a little more difficult. McKenna had a few dates that turned out horribly. What I liked about these experiences with the dates is they were relatable, with situations that were fathomable. The love story that happens is natural between two people that you can believe would fall for each other. Lauren hits another book out of the park.

4-4.5 Stars I had a complete déjà vu moment at the beginning of the book because the scene was so similar to another book I’ve read.
